Host-Pathogen and Host-Insect/Spider Indices

Host-Pathogen and Host-Insect/Spider Indices
The indices are divided by host plant and type of disease observed (fungal, bacterial, viral, or nematode). Many of these diseases also had associated abiotic conditions contributing to the problem. Host plant names (species and cultivar or variety) are based on information provided by clients on the forms accompanying the samples but were not verified to assure accuracy. The majority of the samples were diagnosed based on symptom expression (macroscopic and microscopic examination), but other samples were cultured and additional tests carried out when considered necessary for more accurate diagnoses. Insect and Spider Identifications are organized by month, county and location of find. Typically only a family level identification was made.
