Phytophthora ramorum (SOD) Trainings for Nursery and Landscape Professionals
Learn to recognize P. ramorum-like symptoms on incoming and on-site plant stock through hands on examination and comparison of nursery stock afflicted with various diseases and disorders including Phytophthora leaf and stem blight.

Dates: December 14, 1:00 to 3:00 PM and January 22, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Workshop Updates (November 19, 2007):

  • Both classes have room for additional participants
  • The workshop will now include 5 the of main host plants including pieris, camellia, rhododendron, kalmia and viburnum (aka: the filthy five). So far inoculations using various Phytophthoras and abiotic disorder induction have been successful so we should have a nice set of diseased plants to observe and test ourselves on.
