Virtual Oomycete Demonstration Nursery

STATION 5

Station 5Make sure to store and display all plants on well drained asphalt, concrete or weed mat over gravel so the plants will not be in contact with soil. Avoid letting water accumulate under or around blocks of containerized nursery stock. The absolute worst circumstance is to store plants on bare poorly-drained soil for extended periods.

Avoid overhead irrigation of P. ramorum known and associated host plants where practical. When using overhead irrigation, irrigate so as to allow leaves to dry as soon as possible.
