Virtual Oomycete Demonstration Nursery

STATION 8

Station 8It is a good practice to routinely monitor known and associated hosts for symptoms of the Oomycete plant pathogen P. ramorum throughout the entire year. This includes merchandise in your nursery and plants in the surrounding landscape. Monitoring for symptoms on plants can be done on a daily basis as you make the rounds through your nursery. This simple act offers peace of mind and acts as an early warning system. Established known and associated hosts on the nursery grounds should also be frequently monitored for symptoms and can be used as sentinel plants.
