Puyallup Research and Extension Center
The turfgrass program at WSU Puyallup is coordinated by Dr. Eric Miltner and Dr. Gwen Stahnke, turfgrass scientists at the WSU Puyallup Research and Extension Center. Many changes have occurred over the past few years. Ms. Randi Luchterhand was hired as a Turfgrass Research Technologist for Dr. Eric Miltner in the spring of 2006. Mr. Richard Bembenek, Turfgrass Research Technologist for Dr. Gwen Stahnke, was hired in spring of 2008 to replace Mr. Matt Johns. Although Richard is new to the turfgrass team he has worked as an Agricultural Research Technician for soil chemistry at WSU-Puyallup for 9 years. Richard's Research Technologist position is funded jointly by WSU and the Northwest Turfgrass Association through research projects.
