About Our Program
Washington State University Long Beach Research and Extension Unit programs are varied and multi-disciplinary.  These include research in cranberry weed control and physiology, cranberry best management practices, integrated pest management, and cranberry pollination.  Other programs include management of native pollinators, spartina and other invasive non-indigenous species control, ecoregion issues such as environmental stewardship and water quality protection, and educational outreach.

Support funds include The Cranberry Institute, Ocean Spray Cranberries, Washington Commission on Pesticide Registration, Northwest Center for Small Fruits, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Washington Cranberry Commission.
